Depending on whether you’re a roller coaster person or not, you’ll either think I’m out of my mind or wish it was you on this ride. This is the second time our family had went to Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH but there was no way, no how that I was going to climb on the Top Thrill Dragster the first time we had went. It had been close to a decade since I had rode on a roller coaster and I was not going to break myself in by riding this baby.
Since our previous visit, I had the opportunity to ride the Leviathan and the Behemoth at Canada’s Wonderland a few times so felt a little more confident going on this ride. Usually I’m nervous waiting in line and right before the ride takes off. This time I wasn’t. It was an incredible experience. Zero to 120 MPH in less than 4 seconds. A few seconds later, you’re 420 feet in the air. You’re zipped straight to the top of ride then head straight face down hurling towards the earth, 90 degree angle. The entire ride only lasts 17 seconds. I remember the feeling and my thoughts so clearly while on the ride. After I was strapped in, there was no turning back so I might as well sit back and enjoy it.
